While this amnesty continues to be talked about in the industry, now the $4.3 billion fine paid by CZ and Binance has become a hot topic. At this point, CZ was asked what he would do if the $4.3 billion fine he and Binance paid was returned after his pardon. Cryptocurrency expert Anndy Lian asked CZ from her X account, “Hello CZ, since you’ve been pardoned, will they return your $4.3 billion?” CZ responded indirectly, calling the question a sensitive one and expressing his gratitude for the pardon. CZ stated that if the paid funds were to be returned in any way, he would reinvest them in the United States as a gesture of gratitude. “A polite question. 1. I'm grateful in advance for forgiving. There's a balance between wanting more, wanting what's fair, and being grateful for what you get. 2. If we receive any refund, we will already deposit it to America to show our appreciation.” Binance previously pleaded guilty to charges of violating anti-money laundering and sanctions regulations imposed by US authorities. The $4.3 billion fine was part of a 2023 settlement reached by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) against Binance and its founder, CZ. ah, delicate question. 1. I appreciate the pardon already.
