HIVE Digital Technologies ( NASDAQ: HIVE ) has announced a significant milestone , exceeding 20 Exahash per second (EH/s) in its global Bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) mining capacity. This was achieved following the successful deployment of ASICs at its new Phase 3 Valenzuela facility in Paraguay. The new facility is powered by hydroelectric energy from the Itaipu Dam, reinforcing HIVE's commitment to sustainable mining. The company has seen its hash rate increase by about 233% year-to-date and is now mining 9 Bitcoin per day with an efficiency of 18 Joules per Terahash (J/TH). HIVE's mining margin after electricity costs is 55%. With the Phase 3 installation ahead of schedule, the company has hit its 19 EH/s target and now sits at 20 EH/s. This is a key step toward its goal of reaching 25 EH/s by U.S. Thanksgiving. With Phase 3 of its Paraguay operations nearly complete, HIVE Digital is on track to significantly increase its Bitcoin production and efficiency. The company projects that once the phase is fully operational, it will be mining approximately 12 BTC per day, based on current network difficulty. HIVE also expects its operational efficiency to improve to around 17.5 J/TH at that scale. The company has fully funded all ASIC purchases for this phase, and all machines have been shipped. Over 40% of the ASICs are already on-site and being installed, with the rest scheduled for delivery within the month. More on HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd.
