BREAKING: Strategy Takes New Step Worth $4.2 Billion in Bitcoin

Strategy is preparing to sell up to $4.2 billion worth of STRC shares, according to a document filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The company announced that it plans to purchase Bitcoin with the proceeds from this sale. According to a prospectus filed with the SEC, Strategy will offer STRC shares, called “Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock,” through five brokerage firms, including TD Securities, Barclays Capital, The Benchmark Company, Clear Street, and Morgan Stanley. STRC shares trade on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “STRC.” The shares closed at $94.50 on July 30, 2025.
