This Trader Urges Elon Musk to Buy $200M XRP. Here’s why

A recent post on X from Chain Cartel (@chaincartel) offered a striking proposal for Elon Musk linked to XRP. The account wrote that “Elon Musk should buy $200M XRP today so he can pay $150M EU fines for free in 2026.” Musk has come under scrutiny by the EU and faces a large fine from its regulators. This statement suggested a sharp rise for XRP next year , and provides an easy solution to the billionaire’s current problem. Elon Musk should buy $200M XRP today so he can pay $150M EU fines for free in 2026 — Chain Cartel (@chaincartel) December 7, 2025 The Fine and the Reason Behind It The EU issued a penalty of approximately €120 million, which equals roughly $140 million. The action targeted X, the social media platform Musk owns. The Commission acted under the Digital Services Act, stating that X broke rules related to account labels, data access, and ad transparency. It argued that the company used a deceptive presentation of blue check marks after changes to the verification program. It also stated that X failed to offer clear access for researchers who track public data. The Commission added that the ad repository lacked the required detail. How Much XRP Would Need to Rise The Chain Cartel comment proposed that a $200 million purchase of XRP today could grow to at least $340 million by 2026. That jump represents a required increase of roughly $140 million from the starting point. The figure equals a gain of about 70%. For that to happen, XRP must rise from $2.07 to a level high enough to create that return. If someone bought $200 million worth of XRP at the current price of $2.07, the purchase would secure over 96.6 million XRP. To reach $340 million in 2026, each token must trade at around $3.52. However, this is the minimum amount required to pay off the fine. Some experts have suggested 2026 could be 10x bigger for XRP . A 10x surge for the digital asset would send it to $20.7, putting it firmly in the double-digit range. Will Musk Buy XRP? While Musk has yet to publicly show interest in buying XRP, this presents a major opportunity. Musk’s support for Dogecoin sent it to unimaginable levels, and promoting XRP could help it grow even higher than analysts expect. Musk has not revealed any plans to buy XRP, but the crypto world is fully aware of his pro-crypto stance. The market has produced bigger jumps in the past, and Musk could take the opportunity to pay off X’s fines. Disclaimer : This content is meant to inform and should not be considered financial advice.
