Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has warned its users about scams involving fake SMS messages. Scammers try to trick users by sending messages purporting to be from Binance. These messages may claim your account is “at risk” and encourage you to call fake support lines or click on malicious links. Binance highlighted the following points in its official statement: Binance will never ask you to call a phone number or click on a link via SMS. The fake SMSs create a sense of urgency, such as a new device login alert or a withdrawal request, and ask users to call the phone number or click on fake links. Another thing to be particularly careful about is that messages sent by scammers appear directly on your phone under the name “Binance.” This can be confusing for users.
