A Major Update and New Token Burn Mechanism Are Expected for This Altcoin

ZK Nation has taken a step towards the future of the ZKsync (ZK) ecosystem, launching the voting process for a new proposal that includes upgrading the ZK token contract and expanding the token burn mechanism. The proposal calls for upgrading the ZK token contract from the current ZKTokenV2 version to ZKTokenV3 and introducing the “permissionless burn” feature in the process. The new version, presented as part of the proposal, is a minimal expansion of ZKTokenV2. ZKTokenV3 introduces three key innovations aimed at managing the token supply within the ecosystem in a more transparent and programmable manner. The first is the public burn function, which allows any token holder to permanently burn any amount of ZK tokens. This feature will allow users to voluntarily participate in the supply reduction process. This mechanism allows for controlled burning of specific protocols or system components. The third feature is that the maximum supply limit of 21 billion ZK tokens will be explicitly defined in the smart contract and made public.
