Strategy Resumes Billion-Dollar Bitcoin Buys With 13,627 BTC Accumulation

Following a few consecutive more modest bitcoin purchases, the world’s largest corporate holder of the asset has gone back to the billion-dollar accumulations, as announced by former CEO Michael Saylor. Strategy has spent approximately $1.25 billion to acquire 13,627 BTC at an average price of just over $91,500 per unit. Its total stash has shot up to 687,410 BTC, acquired for $51.80 billion at an average price of $75,353 per bitcoin. Given the cryptocurrency’s price growth in the past several years to $90,600 as of press time, this puts Strategy’s fortune at almost $62.3 billion, or an unrealized profit of more than $10 billion. Ever since Donald Trump won the presidential elections in late 2024 and it became known that there would be a substantial regulatory change in the country, Saylor and his firm had ramped up their efforts. However, Strategy’s stock prices have tracked the volatility of BTC over the past several months, which has been predominantly driven by bears.
